I'm from Shaoyang (邵阳), Hunan Province (湖南), China. I received my BSc and BA degree in Computer Science/Linguistic from JiLin University and MSc degree from School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh. I was a PhD candidate in COMP department, PolyU, studying now on the user profile based sentiment analysis system under the supervision of Prof Lu Qin and Prof. Chu-Ren Huang.

From Jan 2019 to March 2020, I was working as a research fellow in NLP mental health in University of Nottingham. I will be a lecturer at University of Essex university after April 2020. I am interested in sentiment analysis problems including aspect sentiment analysis, sentence/document sentiment analysis, and user/product based sentiment analysis. My research interests also include user preference and profile in complex user social network. Solving data sparse problem for underpresented group of users in the e-menatl health communities is my most current research interests.
